Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Hopwell is a tool for tracing URL redirect chains. This policy explains what data the service processes and what it does not collect.

Data we process

URLs you submit

When you paste a URL into the trace form, that URL is sent to the Hopwell API endpoint (/api/trace) to perform the redirect chain analysis. The URL is the only data sent in the request.

The API uses the submitted URL to make HTTP requests (fetch with redirect: 'manual') to each hop in the chain. It does not store the URL, the intermediate addresses, or any result of the analysis after responding to your request.

Server logs

Cloudflare, which hosts the Hopwell API and static pages, may record basic request metadata (timestamps, IP addresses, HTTP status codes) as part of its standard operations. This data is subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Hopwell does not write its own logs or store any request data permanently.

Data we do NOT collect

Third-party services

The Hopwell site loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) to render the DM Sans, IBM Plex Sans, and IBM Plex Mono typefaces. Google Fonts requests may transmit your IP address to Google. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Data retention

Hopwell does not retain any data. Every request is stateless — the URL you submit and the chain result exist only in the HTTP response and are not written to any database, cache, or log by the Hopwell application.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

No legal entity has been registered for Hopwell, and no contact address or mailbox is available at this time. Questions about this policy should be directed to the operator through the channel through which you received access to this site.
